What's included

Every part of the room, not just the walls

Interior painting is only as good as the preparation underneath it. Each job covers the full surface — walls, ceilings, trim and the detail work in between.

Walls & Ceilings

Even, streak-free coverage across full rooms, stairwells and vaulted ceilings, cut in clean at every edge.

Trim & Baseboards

Doors, casings, crown moulding and baseboards finished with a hard-wearing enamel that holds a sharp line.

Wainscoting & Paneling

Installation and finishing of wainscoting, board and batten, and accent paneling built to your design.

Surface Repair

Nail pops, hairline cracks, dents and old patchwork filled and sanded smooth before a drop of paint goes on.

Priming & Sealing

Stain-blocking primer on bare, patched or problem surfaces so the topcoat stays true over time.

Colour Consultation

Help matching sheens and shades to your light, your floors and the rest of the house before you commit.

Cabinet & Built-in Finishing

Kitchen cabinetry, bookcases and built-ins degreased, sanded and refinished for a factory-smooth result.

Protection & Cleanup

Floors and furniture masked before we start, and the room put back the way we found it when we finish.

Coastal humidity is hard on interior paint

Charleston homes deal with moisture that inland houses never see. Humidity slows curing, lifts poorly prepped surfaces, and turns a rushed job into peeling trim within a season. Bathrooms, laundry rooms and north-facing walls are usually the first to show it.

We specify the coating to the room rather than the invoice — moisture-resistant products where they earn their place, and proper cure time between coats so the finish sets hard instead of staying soft.

Finishes

The right sheen for the room it lives in

Sheen decides how a colour reads and how well it survives being lived with. A flat ceiling and a semi-gloss door frame can carry the same colour and look nothing alike. We'll walk you through it before anything is ordered.

Matte & Flat Hides surface imperfections. Best on ceilings and low-traffic adult bedrooms.
Eggshell Soft low sheen that still wipes clean. The usual choice for living areas and hallways.
Satin Harder wearing with a gentle glow. Suits kids' rooms, kitchens and bathrooms.
Semi-Gloss & Gloss Tough and scrubbable. Reserved for trim, doors, cabinetry and wet areas.

FAQs

Interior painting questions we get asked

A standard bedroom is usually one day including prep. Larger open-plan areas, stairwells or rooms needing significant repair run two to three. You get a date range in the written estimate before we start.
No. We work room by room with low-VOC products so the house stays liveable. We agree which rooms are in play each day and put them back before we leave.
Yes. Furniture is moved to the centre and covered, floors are protected, and hardware, switch plates and fixtures come off rather than getting taped around.
Yes. Nail pops, cracks, dents and failed old patches are filled, sanded and primed as part of the job. Larger drywall damage is quoted separately so you can see what it costs.
We do. We'll look at how the light moves through the room, what your floors and fixed finishes are doing, and recommend shades and sheens. Sample patches go up before you commit.
